European Association of Local and Regional Authorities (UELRSE) in the European Parliament organized a roundtable entitled "Local and Regional Authorities of Europe: European Union Legislative Projects", which involved mostly local and regional authorities from different EU Member States and some European parliamentarians and NGO representatives. From Slovenia the event was also attended by State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister in charge of local and regional development, dr. Andrej Horvat.

Mojca Kleva presented the current situation and major issues in the process of the future framework of EU cohesion policy for 2014-2020. In anticipation of the European Commission’s proposal to fund a seven-year budget period she has expressed concern over forecasts that the funding for regional development has decreased.
